The Dracut Girls Softball Association is holding tryouts for:

10U ,12U, 14U & 18U to play in the 2024 Middle Essex Summer League.

The Middle Essex Summer Softball League is a travel league and more competitive than our spring recreation league. 

There are limited spots available and team rosters will be filled through tryouts and based on evaluation.  

Players will be selected based on softball fundamentals, athletic skill, dedication, commitment, and ability to be coached. Team selection will be at the discretion of the coaching staff.

The season will run from the last week of June through Mid‐August 

The season consist of 2 games per week (1 Home & 1 Away) 

Games will start at 6:15 Monday – Thursday.  18U games start at 8pm in Dracut.

10U and 14U games will be on Monday and Wednesday.  12U and 18U games will be on Tuesday and Thursday

(NO WEEKEND GAMES Except for Makeup games) 

Fee will be $100 per girl

(Includes all fee’s & must be paid by first practice)

Tryouts for 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U will be held at Monahan Park on Sunday, May 5th at 4:00 PM and Saturday, May 11th at 2:00 PM. 

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in.

Payment for the season will made once you are notified that you daughter made the team.

Registrations for Spring Softball will be toward the last week of February and end in March.
Any registration inquiries received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list, which does not guarantee that you will be placed on a team, even if you are returning player.

6U: Child was 5 or 6 on 1/1/24 - $45.00

8U: Child was 7 or 8 on 1/1/24- $80.00

10U: Child was 9 or 10 on 1/1/24 - $85.00

12U: Child was 11 or 12 on 1/1/24- $90.00

13+: Child was 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 on 1/1/24 - $90.00


*Parents that would like to exercise the option for their daughter to move up to an older league must submit a written request to the respective league vice president for approval. Email addresses for league vice presidents are listed on the DGSA website at www.dracutgirlssoftball.com. Click on the "Board" tab on the menu.

8U - 13+ will play home games at various Dracut fields and away games in Lowell, Chelmsford and Tyngsboro.

• Parking for Monahan Park is located at the bathroom facility adjacent to the park and across the street from the park at the Central Fire Station. Parking at the bathroom facility is limited and is restricted to marked parking spots only. Parking at the Fire Station extends down to the junction of Spring Park Ave. Overflow parking extends to the parking lot of the Greenmont Elementary School. Please do not park in posted reserved parking spots behind the Fire Station or in handicap parking areas if not authorized.  
• Monahan Park includes a bathroom facility with (6)    uni-sex bathrooms with sinks, flush toilets and baby change stations. The bathroom facility  is open only during softball activities.
• Monahan consists of three regulation fields (Roy Field, Page Field and Field 3) and a minor league field (Field 4) for 6u and 8u age groups. There is a map with field locations located on the Home of Dracut Girls Softball sign located by the left field fence on Roy Field.
• There is a snack shack at the complex that sells snacks and beverages and is open during most softball activities. 
• The Monahan complex has a batting page and pitching lanes located between the skateboard park and concession stand. 
• There is no smoking allowed at the Monahan complex.
